February

Jake sporting Broncos attire On superbowl

Jacob came withstill his parbackwardents to the ward Valentine's Dinner. He's pretty squirmy - it was hard to get him to look for a picture.

Jake sporting the bib with a tie from Grandma Schorr

Here's the tie bib again, but with a sweater vest. It's pretty cute.

Jake is trying really hard to crawl. He will get up on all fours and rock back and forth. He still scoots backwards in and in circles, but will be crawling very soon we imagine.

Jacob sits well, rolls more often, rocks on all fours, still scoots backwards and in circles, and jabbers often.
He likes books and will sit quietly to listen to me read or he will flip and chew on it himself. His current favorites for look and listening are The Ear Book which has a dog and Hand Hand Fingers Thumb which has monkies. He flips and chews on  foam and cardboard books with farm animals and also likes being read those too.

He also loves going anywhere he can watch other kids -the mall, church, Institute, and his cousins' house.

Spencer and I love having him and watching him grow. We feel so blessed to have him in our family

January

January marked the end of our Christmas trip to Colorado and time with the Kings.

Jake got good at smiling, lying on his stomach, eating more foods.
This is him looking at himself in a mirror - he loves to do this

with his great Hess grandparents

Jake likes standing with help

Jake got to meet his Aunt Dortie and Uncle Robert Hess
while in Colorado, he met Kristin's adviser, Dr. Ruiz-Primo, or just Ayita

He and his cousin James (below right) met and opened presents together. The wrap and bows seemed to be a favorite.

Jake met all the Kings (including Kevin over skype)
David, Spencer, Grandma, Grandpa, Stephen, Robyn, Tyler
Jake, Kristin, James, Nicole

Jakes flight - he did pretty well and seemed to be entertained with toys for the flight. It just wore out his parents.
