December with the Hesses

 Jake loved loved playing with Kelsey. She spoiled him! He also really enjoyed playing with her boyfriend Mathew and asked about him when he was gone.


Grandpa read the Polar Express, the Littlest Angel, and the Christmas story from the Bible. Jake was getting a little impatient for the stories to finish because he wanted to open presents.  
Presents? Jake asked. He was really excited to open gifts and had lots of fun playing with all his new toys. Before Christmas, he had Grandpa and Kelsey read off the names on each of the gifts about half a dozen times each. He was pretty excited to open them.
Spencer got a remote control car. Jake was scared of it for the first few days until Spencer showed Jake that it didn't have a mind of it's own, but that he, Jake could control it. Then he thought it was fun.
 Jake had fun playing with his daddy while we were on vacation. Spencer and Kelsey even helped Jake make a snowman using her blender and ice since the outside snow was no good for building. 
Jake had lots of fun playing with grandma and grandpa. Grandma read him lots of stories and Grandpa played with him lots. Both grandparents held Marie lots and lots so I could rest. 

When we got back to SLC, my former Greeley roommate Carol dropped by the airport to see us!

December with the Kings

 
Pictures from our flight in. Both kids fell asleep on the way, but not on the way back. Both ways were long, but much easier than driving. Jake was excited to ride on an airplane.


 Jake was really excited to spend time with Kellie and Robyn. He got to watch a movie during dinner, so he was really good.

Went out to eat. Marie (left) and Clara (right) slept the whole time. Tyler was between the two babies. The waitress bumped Marie on accident and apologized to Tyler. He basically said that it wasn't a big deal. She wasn't his :) lol

 Tyler and Robyn with James, Clara, Marie, and Jake. All the cousins. And technically Danny, since that's Nicole holding James. Danny's due in May.

This was our Christmas Eve breakfast. Everyone was there. We were going to get a picture with everyone, but we had some sick ones and fussy little ones, so if you put all the pictures together, you have everyone, except me, because I was the photographer.

 Kevin and Spencer weren't especially happy here. I believe they were assigned diaper duty.

 Kellie and David took Marie several evenings while we put Jake to bed. They put her right to sleep and she slept for a few hours, so I got a nice little break with their help.


Jake and James had lots of fun together. The played with cars and Uncle David taught them about football.


Grandma and Grandpa with all the grandkids. It was a little tough to get everyone happy and looking at the same time. Both babies weren't took happy and Jake kept kissing his sister.

 Aunt Karen holding Marie right before she started crying uncontrollably at lunch. Some people even left the restaurant early because of her crying. Jake was good though.
