And we finally moved in to the house and out of the old one. 

 

Jake's cousin Issy had a dance recital that we went to. After, Izzy and Jake 'read' a book together. 

 

Each week, the kids in our old ward get together for a play group. One week, one of the mom's set up a kiddy pool. Jake loved splashing in the water. 

 

The grocery store near our new house has these grocery carts. Jake loves being in them. 

 

One of my college friends, Alessandra, came home from her mission, so we went to her home coming. Here's my old roommate, Carol, me Alessandra, and my baby and husband :)

 

We also went to Bear Lake with Great Grandma and Grandpa Hess. Again, Jake. LOVED. the. water!

April 2014

As a growing 8 month baby, Jake continues to keep us on our toes. In April, my brother and sister-in-law, Tyler and Robyn came to visit.

 

Jake loves spending time with his cousins Joey and Izzy, who live here in Logan. Here, Jake is crawling over Joey, probably to get to a toy. 

 

Jake loves being read to and has gotten very good at snatching things from other people (like his Daddy's glasses)

 

For Easter, Julie and also Grandma Hess had Easter Egg Hunts. Jake had fun picking up the egg and pounding it against the ground until he got it to open.

And here is a picture in front of our new house. We closed the last day of April :) 

Oh, and by April, Jake crawled all the time. 

March 2014

 

In March, we started house shopping. Jacob was 7 months old and rolling around, and still scooting backwards and in circles. To help Jacob learn how to crawl, Spencer got Jake a battery powered train and put it just out of his reach. This seemed to be just enough motivation to get Jacob to start to try to crawl.

Here is is helping his Aunt Julie celebrate her birthday. At the party there was a glittery streamer and every time someone waived it around, he giggled and giggled. 

 

He liked taking my apples from me and sucking on them

 

Spencer's parents  were in town for Laura's endowment and Scott's son Lyncoln's baby blessing.

 

We also decided to start looking for a house in March.
